
Tinkering for the Non-Tinkerer
I used to have a toy that required little toddlers to push different shaped objects through holes that matched the shape of the object. Through many joyful hours of playing with said toy, I learned that in life, some things fit and some things do not. No matter how hard I push, I simply cannot fit the triangle shape through the square hole. And though my time spent playing with the shape toy has long since passed, I realize that the valuable lessons I learned from the toy

I am the sort of person who has a lot of ideas. I love creating worlds in my head, in which music, art, various projects and really anything comes alive. Ideas are the most beautiful stage of the creative process for me, because I can let my mind run away with possibilities without having to get down to the part I hate - the detailed planning part. I was told to do this
I was re-reading Austin Kleon's book, 'Show your Work'. This is the second time I've read the book, as the first time changed the way think about being a somewhat creative person. After reading it, I started my side project/website-that-only-five-people-have-visited, Eyescore.net, and it opened up my mind to showing work that I haven't yet deemed as perfect, or even good enough. It is a liberating experience though; forcing myself to share music and art that I am working o
