Sway

‘Sway’ is a mini golf hole that uses motion activated LED lights to place the golfers in an abstract garden where the leaves sway in celebration of the golfer’s hole in one.  As golfers approach the hole, their eyes are immediately drawn to the tunnel that leads directly to the hole.  This hole forces the golfer to decide between going for glory by trying to putt their ball into a narrow channel which results in a hole in one and taking the safe route around the boxes, requiring at least two strokes.

The ultimate experience for this hole is if the golfer putts the ball into the ramp/channel that travels through three, motion activated LED light sculptures of abstract plants.  The top-open channel will lead the ball through 3 boxes and directly to the hole, for a hole in one.  Each light sculpture’s light animation is triggered when the ball goes through its box.  The golfer can watch the light animation follow their ball to the hole as it travels through the channel. 

If the golfer chooses to go around the boxes, no light animation will be displayed.  In this case, the golfer will have to putt their ball around the three LED sculptures.
